Handwritten

Welcome to my site that is dedicated to William Shakespeare. Here you can find the fruit of eight years' hard work: the facsimile edition of a handwritten version of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare in six volumes. Please take a look at the pictures and read more about it. Have fun!
ABOUT ME
My name is István Hári. I have an unique skill, that is true. I am able to write down long, very long texts joyfully. Is it art? You may say there is more craziness in it than any art. Yes, I say it as well. Although if I think of some great artist... My story goes like this. I have started to script around 2003 for my own pleasure. My first works were a few presentations of Rudolf Steiner. My motivation was mainly to study and understand his thoughts but meanwhile I discovered an unknown feeling in my heart. The view of pages (filled by letters) is something that causes happiness and joy for me. I chose The Holy Bible's New Testament next time. During these wonderful days, weeks and months I felt that I have to change something. My cursive handwriting is not good enough so I started to use a calligraphy pen and I wrote my next work with it. A Hungarian poet, a giant of our literature, Attila József's all poems and translations. Meanwhile I thought it would be interesting to see how may Bilbo and Frodo Bagginses' diary looked like. You know, from the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings. It took almost three years but then I saw (and now you can also see) it and it was a great moment of my life. And now we are here, please let me introduce my latest work, fruit of eight years, called The Complete Works of William Shakespeare. Thank you for your patience and I wish all the best for you.
Video from Fábry Show
There is a popular talk-show in Hungary and I was one of the guests of its earlier part. It takes only five minutes. It is in Hungarian but do not afraid it is not important. You will recognize the moment (cca. at 1:36 min. ) when we start to speak about my Tales from Middle-earth. Please listen to the breath of people, how they sighed when they heard about this work first time.
